AMA Arenacross Series

Arenacross, which consists basically of downsized Supercross-style courses, placed into smaller venues such as ice hockey and basketball stadiums. The popularity of Arenacross is growing, since smaller cities that do not have large football and baseball stadiums that can host Supercross races.
Arenacross held its first open in 2006 which achieved high attendance counts.
The AMA is using AMA Toyota Arenacross series as a way for riders to transition from amateur racing to Supercross. Many Supercross privateers also race Arenacross.

AURORA, Ill. (March 3, 2010) – In recent weeks, the hottest rider in the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series championship has been Babbitt’s Monster Energy/Ti Lube Kawasaki’s Josh Demuth. Over the last six rounds and eight races, Demuth has three victories and seven podiums. As a result, he is on the heels of AMA Arenacross class points leader and Babbitt’s teammate Tyler Bowers.

(March 2, 2010) – The Babbitt’s Monster Energy/Ti Lube Kawasaki team made it clear they are the team to beat in the 2010 AMA Arenacross Series last Saturday night, posting the squad’s fourth podium sweep of the season as Tyler Bowers reclaimed control of the AMA Arenacross class championship in Fresno. This weekend, the series makes its annual visit to the Biggest Little City in the World, Reno, Nev., for the 11th annual Reno Arenacross, affectionately known as ArenOcross.
