We will discuss the Motocross, Supercross and Arenacross sports industry. In addition we will comment on the hobby and past-time of dirtbike riding in general.

The Greatest Race

Well we just finished our 5-hour ride home from the Supercross race in Indianapolis. I have said for a long time now that I would like to see a challenging track that promotes racing. I pointed out in my last post that I am not a fan of the one-lane track designs that we have grown accustomed to. Well thank you Mike Larocco.

One-Lane Racing

What if our Nation’s highways only had one lane, if Nascar race tracks were only one lane wide or horses raced single file?

Sounds like a boring event, most of the time at least. Week in and week out Supercross race tracks are setup with difficult double and triple jumps tricky whoop sections and tight turns. The broadcast announcers tell us we have a technical track that is mostly made up of one fast racing lane. At the start of the race one of a handful of the best riders get a great start (hole-shot) and we have a race through the first turn. Read more »
