The supercross lites race made history in Indianapolis. For the first time ever, a supercross lites main event was re-started single-file by running order. After the red flag was drawn following the completion of the fourth lap, a single-file restart, reminiscent of flat track racing occurred.

Lawmakers who want to seize control of federal lands are pushing a legal battle they insist is winnable despite multiple warnings their effort is highly unconstitutional and almost sure to fail in court.
Utah is poised to become the first state to pass a package of bills that demand the federal government relinquish claims to huge sections of public land. A proposal that advanced Wednesday demands that by 2014 the federal government cede control of nearly 30 million acres -- nearly 50 percent of the entire state.

The AMA off-road racing season kicked off out west with the opening round of the AMA West Hare Scrambles Championship. For the third year in a row, Arizona Cycle Park hosted the event, with support from GPR, MotoCity, Flexx Bars and Leatt.

The Arizona desert welcomed riders from Washington, Oregon, Wyoming, Nevada, Montana, California, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, Idaho, Texas, the AMRA gang from Arizona and two racers from Canada. Read more »
