Rookie Dungey Captures Lucas Oil Motocross Championship Title with Ninth Straight
The Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship returned to action on Saturday with the Rockstar Energy Southwick National presented by Traxxas, Round 10 of the 12-race season, from Moto-X 338 in Southwick, Mass. Keeping up with the dominating trend he's set this season, Rockstar/Makita Suzuki's Ryan Dungey, of Belle Plaine, Minn., raced to his ninth consecutive 450 Class victory by sweeping the day's motos and in the process, secured the premier class title with two rounds remaining. In the 250 Class, Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki's Tyla Rattray, of South Africa, captured his second career victory.

James Withdraws From The Nationals
After more than a week of training and testing since his return to racing at Unadilla, a difficult decision was reached today by James and his team to withdraw from the remainder of the 2010 AMA Pro Motocross series. Due to his abbreviated Supercross season, James, with the full support of his team, had hoped to return to the track much earlier in the National series. Thanks to a slow-healing wrist injury, however, James did not receive the medical clearance he needed until just a few short weeks prior to Unadilla.
DUNGEY RACES TO 8TH STRAIGHT WIN AT UNADILLA
Rockstar Makita Suzuki had a banner day at the ninth round of the AMA Pro Motocross series at Unadilla as Ryan Dungey went 1-1 to take his eighth overall win in a row and temporary team mate Clement Desalle, who's on break from the FIM Motocross World Championship series, went 2-2 for second overall for the day.

Pala Motocross Raceway: The Birth of a National
As many of you already know, Pala Raceway in Southern California is playing host to its first ever National on September 11th and is the 12th and final stop of the 2010 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championships. The team at Pala is amazing, and the facility, track and nearby resort and casino will be exemplary hosts for the last races of the year, complete with award ceremonies and wrap-up festivities.
