New Race Formats
In 2009 Super X will continue with the revolutionary new race formats they introduced last year. This year will see 5 different formats used including Survival, Triple Challenge, Quad Challenge, Round Robin and the Double Header (2 x 10 lap races).
This year will also see the 250cc class racing in the formats and will have one of their own at Perth "Super Sprint".

SuperX was formed by the partnership between Mike Porra, the CEO of Global Action Sports, and Australia’s greatest ever supercross rider, Chad Reed. They did not want to settle with being just another supercross form of Motorcycle racing. In just their second season ever after seeing a total of 90,000 people pack stadiums across Australia to see the races live and an incredible four million viewers watched the series on television the series amp’s it up a little more in season two. |
| Last year’s exciting style of supercross returns in 2009 with exciting new race formats; Survival, Triple Challenge, Quadruple Challenge, Round Robin and the Double Header will all feature as a final format in the Open class. This year the 250cc class will also race several events over the new formats. |

Ryan Villopoto confirmed for the Sydney and Brisbane Monster Energy Super X events
Friday July 23, 2010; Global Action Sports confirmed today that one of the biggest supercross stars on the planet, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Ryan Villopoto, will compete in the final two rounds of the Monster Energy Super X in Sydney at Parramatta Stadium on November 27 and Brisbane at QSAC on December 4, 2010.
Mike Alessi signs on for SuperX 2010
This marks the return to the AMA Supercross for Mike Alessi now that he has signed on for the 2010 Super X in Australia.

Chad Reed Take final race and Championship
Chad Reed wins the 2009 Monster Energy Super X Championship
Saturday December 5, 2009; Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Chad Reed has won the seventh and final round of the Monster Energy Super X championship in front of 24,500 animated fans at the QSAC stadium in Brisbane tonight. The win also gave him the overall championship finishing 21 points ahead of his closest competitor, Daniel Reardon, and 23 points ahead of Jay Marmont who finished third overall.
America’s PJ Larsen to race final round of Monster Energy Super X
Monday November 30, 2009; 18 year old upcoming star from the USA, PJ Larsen, is confirmed to race in the finale of the Monster Energy Super X championship at the QSAC stadium in Brisbane this Saturday December 5. The seventh and final round of the championship will be the biggest supercross event ever held in Australia with the strongest rider lineup ever assembled in the country.
Josh Grant and Davi Millsaps to race Monster Energy Super X finale in Brisbane
Wednesday November 25, 2009: Global Action Sports today confirmed that two of the top ten supercross riders in the world, Josh Grant and Davi Millsaps from the USA, will be flying down under to compete in the highly anticipated final round of the 2009 Monster Energy Super X Championship, at the QSAC Stadium in Brisbane on Saturday December 5.
